Given the unique challenges of designing in California and throughout the West our firm recognizes the responsibility and importance of water conservation. For this reason, Broussard Associates has been leading through efficient irrigation design and advocacy of responsible policy. This includes assisting municipalities in best practices and the California state government in the recently adopted Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance .
Beginning in 2010 California local agencies will be required to adopt the Model Water Ordinance or an equally effective ordinance. Although many Landscape Architects and designers may be poorly prepared for such changes, Broussard Associates remains ready to lead the way in a new generation of water conservation.
